Arctic Monkeys – Humbug
Arctic Monkeys are known for their catchy hooks and polished rock songs. What makes this record good is the experimentation that they took. There aren’t as many straight-forward pop songs. This more mature sound is a nice addition to their solid discography. While the album fails to top their first two albums, it is far from an unwelcomed addition. The first two only needed one spin to be hooked, this one takes repeated listens. The best records take time to get into. If you ask me about this one in a couple months, my opinion could be completely different. I respect this album and the band’s new sound. It is worth checking out. (3.5/5)
